Recycling, and sustainability in general, is really tough to get right.

Less than 5% of plastics actually get recycled. 

Even if you put that bottle in the right bin, the chances it will actually get reused are very slim. Ending up in a landfill, the ocean, or getting shipped off to another country are much more likely.

The personal care industry is a key offender here, with most of the products  packaged up in typical plastic bottles.

What we're doing about it.

We're trying to make smart packaging choices, all the way through. Pouches will go to Terracycle for separation and transformation into reusable materials.

Here's how our recycling program works:

Step 1: Once you've got 3 empty Commons pouches, shoot us an email at hello@getcommonsbehappy.com - we'll give you our mailing address.

Step 2: Package them up and send them over to us. They're light and they scrunch up small.
